Scorched Sand

As I perceive that my doom is in sight, All I could do now is to sigh at night, Scorched in the desert...I am but a knight, Deserted by my comrades, I will fight. A week has passed...I saw some shining light, My failing has come to this; for a parched might, Every passing days; I counted some wight, Every notion that my sane self is right. Yearn for the people...Myself stranded tight, Should I give in to death...to pledge; a plight, No! As I came down from this mind; alight, I look down from an abyss to a height. As different names calls to mine; some hight, The chances to survive this sod is slight, Severed arms and legs with an even blight, The midday closes in, for me to flight. This clothing I have is in shred; a dight, A mirage of an oasis; some fright! As I could see it is real...a bight? As I rest, I wonder if I'm alright.
